The Davidson Prize 2021 – Shortlisted
23 March 2021
We are delighted to announce that our entry for The Davidson Prize 2021 has been shortlisted.
Responding to the theme of Home/Work, entrants were asked to imagine solutions for living and working in the wake of Covid-19.
Our submission was formed together with human health and wellbeing in buildings consultancy Ekkist. We designed Onni, an innovative solution that will allow us to regain a sense of work-life balance in our homes and to reclaim that space as a sanctuary.
Onni is a set of surfaces that descend from the ceiling of a living space to form tables, desks and surfaces. The primary function is to create a workspace that would disappear out of hours. Onni allows you to reclaim your living space and ‘switch off’, resulting in lower stress and an improvement in wellbeing.
Designed with inclusivity and affordability at its core, able to adapt to a complete range of homes, and sitting within the depth of a light fitting, Onni’s worktops can provide office functionality without any loss of living space.
Three teams will be announced on April 15th 2021 to develop their ideas further.
