Banstead Place Planning Permission Granted

Cousins & Cousins is delighted to have received planning and listed building consent for our Banstead Place scheme to redevelop the site of the QEF Neuro Rehabilitation Hospital into 31 residential units. The building typology references the historic nature of the site and significance of the former Manor House. Landscape proposals include replanting the original orchard, and works to restore the arboretum with a historic woodland path built by former WW2 soldiers who convalesced at the hospital.

Banstead & Reigate Council members praised the scheme at Committee: “I think it is absolutely delightful. In my time of being a councillor and sitting on this committee I have not seen another application which I so wholeheartedly endorsed as this one… it is a testament to the design”, “I think it is wonderful and it is not often I get to say that, I think the additional buildings are very sympathetically designed”.
