Stephen Palmer-Hogan

BA (Hons) Dip Arch ARB

Stephen undertook his BA at The Manchester School of Architecture and completed the rest of his studies at the London Metropolitan University.

Throughout his architectural career Stephen  has worked on and delivered a wide variety of projects ranging in typology, scale and budget. His experience crosses residential, commercial and cultural and arts based projects. Across all sectors, Stephen is interested in considered architectural solutions that respond to their site and context, and he enjoys working with the end-user to best achieve their brief.

Stephen engages with the design process as a continued discussion and collaborative process from initial stages through to detailed design. It is through these discussions and testing of spatial ideas, materials and details that a well-considered and successful project is realised, and it is this process of complex thought and continued detailed design that excites him.

Personal interests include a keen interest in strong graphical identities with a passion for typology, grid systems and graphic/textile/product design including Alexander Girard at Herman Miller, Dieter Rams and Braun, Design Research Unit and British Rail, Peter Saville and Factory Records et al.

Partly away from design, cycling is a favourite past-time and a chance to enjoy the open air.
