Ben Cousins

London born architect Ben Cousins, studied at the University of Portsmouth and Kingston University.

After graduation Ben joined Michael Hopkins & Partners, where he worked on a diverse range of detail-led projects. From then he joined MMM Architects as project architect specialising in the delivery of residential projects. Following his appointment at ESA Architects, Ben became an Associate Architect honing his skills in the restoration of historic buildings.

In 2004 Ben co-founded CWA, which specialised in the development of super prime residential projects across central London. Since 2012 Ben Cousins has merged with his architect wife Jelena’s practice, and together they have established Cousins and Cousins, leading a team of highly experienced architects to deliver exceptional projects across London.

Ben is thoroughly involved in every project that is undertaken by the practice, and has a particular interest in detail design and delivery of the work.


Jelena Cousins

Croatian born Jelena Cousins came to London to complete her architecture studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture via the University of IUAV in Venice, Italy.

Jelena has worked with many highly regarded practices. At David Gibson she gained her considerable experience of designing for historic and listed buildings and whilst at EPR, Wilkinson Eyre and Hawkins Brown she delivered high profile residential, commercial and educational schemes, on some of which she was the project architect.

Prior to the formation of Cousins and Cousins, Jelena founded Cousins Architects in 2007. Specialising in residential projects, she undertook a number of complex and interesting interior extensions.
